  • Teams will be made and balanced based on the 2 pm check-in deadline.
  • Each Thursday evening teams will play two games against two different teams as outlined in Soccer Nova Scotia’s Return to Play guidelines.
  • Each game, players will collect points based on the result. Three for a win, one for a draw, and zero for a loss.
  • After each evening the standings will be updated and a table will be available showing only the top half. We have decided not to show the entire table, as some players are not attending for competitive reasons and we want to respect that.
  • The following games night the same process will repeat but the teams will change. However, individuals will continue to collect points with their new teammates.

Due to the recent announcement from Premier Stephen McNeil and Dr. Robert Strang today November 24th, 2020. Halifax City Soccer Club with immediate effect with be ceasing all programs which include the remaining sessions in November including the Sport Makes a Difference Video shoot scheduled for tomorrow. I am very proud of the planning and transition from our summer program at Springvale to our fall program at Mainland Common. That decision not to take a short break and immediately transition served our communities' children and youth well by keeping them active for five consecutive months from July to November. I also want to take this time to thank our volunteers and coaches for their efforts and support to help provide programs that are developmentally appropriate. If you have their email, please take a moment to thank them and you can also locate them on the Clubhouse via the member search feature. Without them we would not have a club! We are still planning ahead for programs to start in January pending the decision to close many industries is successful. We will continue to monitor the situation and will communicate our thinking and decisions as we adapt to the situation. If you are intending to register for our indoor programs for January to March, many programs are now reaching capacity. It is critical that you register as we will be submitting our teams to Soccer Nova Scotia at the end of the month. Finally, I encourage you all to join us for our virtual AGM which will take place on Zoom December 8th, at 7pm to let your voice be heard and be apart of the exciting new chapter of Halifax City Soccer Club.
